*Glow in the dark luminance fades after time. Typically, the light released will be brighter immediately after charge and for the first half hour. Remember, the phosphors need to absorb light to re-emit light and some light is better absorbed than others. Ultra violet light works best and charges in the fastest time.

Lost a flounder because the end of the stringer pulling out of the cork while kayak fishing. One 17″ flounder caused the end to come out and the cork slipped off while I was moving to a different spot. I made it a point and checked to make sure the end of the stringer was all the way into the cork before placing the fish in the water and it still came out. Yesterday I caught a 24″ red, but instead of risking losing the fish I gave it to a buddy of mine to put on his cheap Chinese made stringer from Cabela’s. The ends of those have a brass connection on it that’s solid and won’t bend so it won’t wiggle out. I’ll have to tie a knot behind the cork so it won’t come apart which completely negates the quick release aspect of it. It’s probably perfect for wade fishing but not great for kayak fishing.
Update: The day after my initial review, after speaking with the company and receiving great customer service I’ve changed my review from a 1 star to a 4 stars. The cause of my stringer issue isn’t clear but I have a replacement on the way which will hopefully solve my problem. There aren’t many companies in Texas that make floating fish stringers (two that I could find) so I’m trying to stick with local and Made in America. Thank you very much Stinky Pants Fishing for making it right.

The stringers are amazing, super nice quality! At first glance they seem a bit pricey for a stringer, but I will say short of losing it I will never have to buy another one!

Fantastic product and so much more convenient than tying off a stringer each time you get a fish – excellent product for kayak and wade fishing!
