This should be perfect for flounder gigging trips. The shorter 8 foot length will make things more manageable in swing tides and the glow in the dark sheathing will be easy to see.
Awesome quality and amazing customer service.
The 8ft is a lot smaller than I expected it to be. Which I found quite nice while Wade fishing. It stayed out of the way on the clip looped up until I needed it. The construction of the stringer is top notch and I appreciated the handwritten note inside. Sure there may be other options that are slightly cheaper, but I’m telling you the quality on this stringer is worth the extra few dollars. I kept one allotted over slot fish for my area and the stringer was perfect. The float was right on the surface maybe just beneath if the fish felt lively at times. It definitely was nice to be more incognito as I fish a popular place. Again the fit and finish on this can’t be beat. The stringer was easy to wipe off with warm water and dry.
Wow, how does anybody ship USPS faster than Amazon. But it’s good to know Stinky Pants can😁. Product excellent as always. Wish y’all made a 4 footer with small float just for us kayakers. Also would be nice if you sold the spikes you use for repairs. Thanks for a great product and quick shipping. Ya’ll are trulyStinking it up over there.
Vince, thank you so much for the review. To answer your question about the 4' stringer, the good news is we do and you have it! You have 2 options with the 8'er you currently have. If you are 100% you want it 4' then simply take a pair of wire cutters and cut it to your desired length. If you are not sure, then you can slide your float up the line and keep the extra on the other side of the float bascially mimicking a shorter stringer, but still having the option of going back to 8'. I hope this helps! God Bless
Excellent!! one of the best fishing item i purchased.
First, Thanks for the note of encouragement.
Perfect size stringer length with float that will submerge. S/P will be my GoTo for fishing gear.
Awesome
Great packaging and a thank you note
Best stringer on the market
They work great. The clip is the cats.
Really like it. I have an original 12 ft with the bigger float and it’s great but this one is awesome for when I’m just taking a quick trip and going light. Barely notice it
Quality is there. The green is a great looking color. Unsure about length though. Kinda wish id went with the 12’ but that ain’t their fault. Prob will end up buying that one also . Haven’t put any fishon it yet so the 8’ might be ok. I’ll find out this Saturday . I still recommend it though.
I ordered this as a replacement for the one i lent to a friend - and he lost it! I have had the long stringer and this shorty for a while, and I won’t use anything else! It’s a little pricier than others, but definitely worth it.
Fast shipping and great product!
Best of the best in both product and customer satisfaction. Doesn't get any better.
Fantastic stringers that are well made and well designed!
As an added bonus, the owner sent a stringer clip and hand written Thank You note with my order!
Both are truly appreciated!
Pro series feels like quality, very much a heavy duty long lasting stringer...cant wait to use it!!
Great product, fast shipping
Exceptional product!
Just received my Stinky Pants 8ft stringer. Fast shipping. I can’t wait to string up a few reds down at the coast. I am always happy to support local family businesses.
Great service, fast shipment and greatproduct! Thank you.
Had to buy a new stringer. Stinky pants makes the best stringers on the market. My first was some where between. 6-7 years old. Its condition was as good as the first day i purchased it from Roys Bait Shop in Corpus Christi. Then my fumble fingers let a stringer full of fish get away from me.
Great Stringer, fast shipping and exactly what I needed for my kayak.
Good product,
Great project which makes a great gift
Smaller float and 8’ length feels right out of the boat and a bit less mess in the boat.
No more knots and slimy rope stringers for this girl.
Let me say customer service is awsome I placed an order and forgot to add an item to my cart so had to place a second order and they caught it refunded shipping on the second order and shipped both items in same package and the 8 foot stringer and clip is perfect for fishing from my kayak
Can’t wait to put some fish on this
Our 8′ Pro-series stringer is a streamlined version of our original 12′ stringer with a smaller float, meaning less bulk when packing and carrying the stringer. It is a great option for kayakers as it will not tangle in most rudders and drafts better behind the kayaks. The smaller float will still stay connected like our original stringer, but is less noticeable if you’re worried about potlickers, and pulls easier in the kayak when you string a fish. (Note the small float will not support the weight of the stringer)
